Add Participant - Workflow Toolbox

The add participant tool allows you to add a new participant onto your piece of work. 

Common Uses

The add participant tool can be used in conjunction with an allocation rule to lookup the best person a piece of work should be assigned to. Once you have determined the person to whom the work should be assigned use the Add Participant option to assign the correct party.

Pre-requisites

Workitem Id - to use the notification toolbox item you will need to have captured the workitem Id of the work item for which you want to create the document. 

ODS entity to assign role to - the of the user, team or organisation to whom you wish to assign the role.

Configuring Prepare Document

Action Name Give the action a meaning full name e.g. Lease 
Work Item to add participant to

The id of the work item to wish you want to link this prepare document task. 

Note: This should also match the context of the document template 

Participant role to add

The name of the role you want to add onto the work

If you can't see the role you are adding ensure that you have correctly added the participant role into the system - Create a Participant Role‍ 


ODS entity to assign role to Select the variable that contains the id of the team / organisation / user you want to assign to the role.
