Users and access
How do I set up SCIM to provision Office 365 users?
For the secret token, use the Reference token, not the standard access token. Then make sure the SCIM global feature is enabled and configured under Admin > Global Features. Follow the Office 365 user setup guide for the full sequence.

How do I give a user access to Power BI reporting?
Add the user to the relevant reporting group, and to the Entra (Azure AD) group where one is used. Access can take a short while to provision, so allow for a delay before the user can reach the reporting database.

How do permission sets and role-based permissions fit together?
Access is granted through permission sets assigned to teams, combined with role-based permissions on work types, which can vary by phase. Model access at the team and role level rather than per user.

Integrations
How do I connect or relink the outbound email service?
The outbound email feature must be connected in Global Features. If it shows red, relink the service. A known interface workaround is to change the provider to SMTP, save, then change it back to Exchange Graph API and save. A Forbidden error from Microsoft Graph after that points to mailbox permissions or the service link, which need checking on the Microsoft side.

How do I set up the iManage integration?
Create the iManage linked service, configure the repositories you need (client, matter and so on) with the correct permissions, and make sure the redirect URL is registered on the iManage side. The redirect URL step is a common blocker.

Data and system operations
Why does a data load fail with a repository or "0 connections" error?
The repository the data load points at must be set up first, with the right permissions, and must match the template scope. A common cause is a Global template pointing at a Matter repository. Configure the repositories correctly before running the load.

How do I check whether a maintenance plan job is running?
Review Maintenance Plans in Admin. A job can show as errored while a fix is pending, which is usually harmless, but if a scheduled job such as audit event cleanup has stopped running for a period, raise it with Clio Operate support so it can be cleared.
