What does the Prepare Document Browser widget do?
The Prepare Document Browser widget (Sharedo.Core.Case.Documents.Templates.PrepareDocumentBrowser.Widget) lets you add a list view to a portal page where users can browse the document templates on the system by category, preview them, and prepare documents based on the selected template. This is especially useful for environments that have very many templates.
How to use it
- Enter a word or phrase in the Search bar to filter the list of templates.
- Filter the list by type, by clicking one of the entries under Types. I.e. Documents, Emails, or Legal Forms.
- Filter the list by category by selecting it.
- Clicking a template's name or the magnifying glass to the right of the template opens a preview of that template. Documents can be opened from the document template preview.
- Add a template to your Favourites list by hovering the mouse over a template and clicking the star icon that appears.
- Create a document based on the template by clicking the + icon.
- The orange tags in the image above indicate the category that the template is in.
Configuration settings

| Title | Title must be provided if With Chrome is switched on. |
| Icon | The Font Awesome icon that will be displayed next to the title on your widget. |
| Help text | Optionally enter any help text for the widget. |
| Expanded | Indicate wether the widget should be expanded or collapsed on load. |
| Display | Show or hide based on a business rule. |
| Template Page Size | Enter the number of templates to show per page. |
| Category Page Size | Enter the number of categories to show per page. |
| Include/Exclude Categories | Select which categories should be shown in the list. |
| Template Title Click Action | Select wether you want to create a document when the title is clicked or if you want the template preview to show. |
