To generate a new email, select an email entry from the Prepare menu on the Action bar: .

Alternatively, as described above, to attach a newly created document to an email, select the icon from the ribbon bar of the Prepare Document blade:
A Prepare Email blade is presented. The following Properties are available.

Attachments | Files | Click on the right arrow (in blue) or the Attachments navigation bar to open a Documents blade containing all the documents related to this email. To add more, click on the Attach icon to open a further blade containing all the documents linked to this case. Select any documents you wish to attach and click Confirm. To remove any Attachments, tick the checkbox to the left of their title and click Unlink. |
Click on Send to send the email and attachments.

Phase Guards
These trigger automatically and perform a series of checks to ensure that the email is properly constituted and can be sent out. See example, right. This email could not be sent as the body text or subject line contained reserved words or expressions. * ShareDo has a user definable library of words that can be automatically cross-referenced by the Phase Guard.

Failed
If the email fails to send, a Task will be inserted into the worklist with a Phase of “Failed”. The entry can be re-opened and another attempt made to send it.
Sent
If successfully sent, the email entry can be seen in the Emails / Outbound list of emails:

Email Naming Conventions / Tagging
The Subject lines of outgoing emails are tagged with a unique reference.
e.g. [SHemail.ID000005063]
This “luggage tag” will identify the email, and by extension, the case and the owner of the case.
