You can add aspects to work types in the ShareDo Modeller. For more information on aspects see the Aspects article.
When you create a new work type, if you have not inherited aspects from the parent type or added aspects to the work type blade, the ShareDo type advisor displays a number of issues that you need to address, like this critical issue.
It is best practice to create a derived type or copy from parent to inherit aspects, permissions, and more from a parent work type.
Adding or Changing Aspects on Your Work Type Blade
- Select Launchpad > Open Modeller > Work types and browse to the work type you want to edit. Click the Aspects button at the top of the work type screen.
- The Aspects Editor opens.
Use the Copy from Parent option to copy the aspects from a parent work type. You can use the settings as your base configuration for the new work type.
- Select the (+) add button next to any of the titles.
- You see a list of aspects available that you can add to your work type.
- Select the aspect you want to add.
Use the form builder aspect to add on your own custom data capture forms. You can add forms to the aspect in settings.

Ensure that navigation bar style aspects (Nav) are only added to the footer section of the blade.
- To set permissions on your aspect, browse to ou can manage permissions and select read and update permissions to apply to the aspect.
- Click the visibility icon to add rules to your aspect. Rules show or hide the aspect, depending on the context.
- Click the settings icon if available. Each aspect may have its own settings.
- Click Close to exit the Aspects Editor.
