Overview

When a document is generated, any Document Questionnaire fields on the Prepare Document form become read-only by default. This prevents changes to the questionnaire responses that were used to produce the document.

If Document Refresh is enabled on the Prepare Document blade, users may need to update questionnaire responses before refreshing the document with the latest values. Enabling the Can Edit Post Generation setting on the Prepare Document Details aspect allows questionnaire fields to remain editable even after the document has moved to the In Progress phase.

Enable post-generation editing

1. Navigate to Modeller and open the relevant work type.
2. Select General Settings from the left-hand menu.
3. Select Aspects at the top right of the page.
4. Locate (or add) Prepare Document Details in the aspect list and select the cog icon to the right of it. The Configure 'Prepare Document Details' Aspect blade displays.
5. Set the Can Edit Post Generation toggle to On.
6. Select the tick icon to confirm the configuration change.
7. Select Save in the Aspects Editor.

Questionnaire fields on the Prepare Document form can now be amended after the document has been generated, including when the document is in the In Progress phase.
