Bulk assign is the ability for a user with the required permissions, to multi-select a list of items in a list view and bulk assign them all to a new owner.
Once users have chosen the items they wish to reassign and clicked the reassign option, they will be shown the reassign tasks screen. This screen allows the user to see which reassignments will be successful and which might be unsuccessful. They can then choose to continue by pressing Complete action.
If there are any items related to those the user chose to reassign, the Related Items box is shown. Use the Reassign - Related Items to take ownership of them.
Bulk reassignments can be done from lists of work items like these:
- From a user's worklist, as shown above
- From a user's Portfolio
- Or use column headers to filter, select, and reassign.
Feature Configuration
Access this global feature at Launchpad > Modeller > Global Features. Search for assign.
This feature allows you to configure the bulk assignment options that are available throughout the system. The bulk assign actions box shows all of the bulk assignment actions that are currently configured in the system. You are able to use the burger menu at the end to disable or delete these actions.
Adding a New Bulk Assignment Action
Clicking Add allows you to configure a new bulk reassign action. The configuration details the role that will be reassigned and also the configuration for the bulk action valid / invalid screen. This screen lists all items that would be successful and all items that would not be successful.

Enables work type specific configuration if you would like to vary this behaviour. The list of allowed work types can then be specified in the box below. |
