Key Concepts
What is a User Type?
A User Type in ShareDo is a tag that you can assign to a User to collect together users that perform the same function across your solution. An example of a common User Type would be an employee. You can create a User Type of Employee and assign the User Type tag to members of your organisation.
Why Use User Types?
Using User Types makes creating a new User in ShareDo much easier and quicker than it previously was. By configuring Teams, Organisation and Persona at the User Type level, you save yourself both time and the increased likelihood of human error when creating a new User by simply assigning them a User Type rather than having to add configuration individually. You can create as many User Types as you need. For example, if you have multiple clients, you can have a separate User Type for each client organisation. When you need to create a new User from a particular client, you simply give them the correct User Type, and you will have created a fully-fledged user with all the relevant permissions.
